My Grandfather was a 7th Green Howard, he like most people didn't talk about it. It was their way of dealing with what they witnessed and went through.
However, some people years later found the courage to share their memoirs and tell their stories. Those are the books I have searched for to help paint the picture of what my grandad must have experienced as 7th Green Howard during World War 2.
